More like country but it's good for what it's worth. I guess if you're into this type of music it's fine. Sound quality is in tact & production is great. Has potential... - GftdMami67 from Richmond, Virginia on 4May2009 Love the vocals! This is cool... I'm diggin the harmonica. The guitar playing is tight and the drummer keeps the whole band on point. The arrangement is fantastic, I like the breaks in the songup, good buildup. Overall, great song. - b_northrup9 from Binghamton, New York on 2Apr2009 THIS IS A COUNTRY SONG NOT R&B You're in the wrong place, your song are in the R&B section but it's ok. Your sound is similar to Ray Charles, maybe you can do more expectative in the song in a HARD MIX for the Armonic. The voice are cool, and the mood too. The guitar is very very fluid. Good track for the Country Music Lovers. - elritmorecords from Pereira, Risaralda, Colombia on 1Apr2009 Why is this in RnB? why is this in RnB? anyway...nice for country, good voice, little plain though, production is ok. - Two4OneMusic from Los Angeles, California on 27Mar2009 Trains rolling Yeah I'm on my way! Uplifting cowboytune. Nice acoustics gell with the melody. No surprises, but sure it makes me wanna ride.. - JoostVD from Ijsselstein, Utrecht, Netherlands on 18Mar2009 Not Sure How This Happened Well, this is definitely not R&B, but it's probably the site's fault. That said, I do like the instrumentation. The vocalist has a good voice for the style of music. I get a "riding a train" feel while listening to the song. The music is definitely catchy. - MusicalCoop00 from Wichita, Kansas on 12Mar2009 Great song guy YOUR MUSIC FOR ALL AUDIENCES WILL LOVE YOU.YOU ARE SENSATIONAL. I think its in the wrong genre. The vocals are strong and and the song is put together well. It flows very good the melody and the beat. Great job. - mztbone from Saint Louis, Missouri on 27Feb2009 I enjoyed it!!! Not my genre. BUT I found myself tapping along with you the music which is a good thing! Having said that: Overall: A I enjoyed the Song from start to finish. Vocals are clean and recorded quite Well. Production: A+ Excellent use of the guitar and Harmonics. IT IS NOT R&B at all. Its folk or country. Please remove ASAP. - Mandell from Sherman Oaks, California on 20Feb2009 Good Driving Music I like this track. Good americana. That is a style that never goes away. Its sounds like ya'll are staying true to your roots and I digg that. This track was nicely produced. Well done. - StephonLaMar from Celo, North Carolina on 16Feb2009 Won't Play It sounded like country more than r&b but then it stopped playing and wouldnt start again I'm sorry for the review - angelskyy from Unspecified on 8Feb2009 good blues joint yo this aint r&b but this is still a good song. typical blues groove but this has a coutry feel to it though. good voice and the guitar is nice - itsme1210 from Unspecified on 27Jan2009 lawandas review this song isnt r&b either , we need someone to define the music genres , i say maybe folk music , so i will judge accordingly - sweetpetite26 from Ypsilanti, Michigan on 25Jan2009 great song This song reminds me of "Oh brother where art thou". Very good mix and I love the harmonica. The vocals to this song are perfect for this genre. - don_che414 from Oak Creek, Wisconsin on 21Jan2009 Yeeeeeeee haaaa!!!! this is some total wild west stuff. the banjo is never a hot edition to the r and b charts. sorry buddy your not beating Beyonce in 09. - iZiplok from Hudson, New Hampshire on 16Jan2009 Country I think this has been miscategorised. This is not an R&B track but more country. Either way, it is a good song. A very typical song. The fast plucked guitar, the ongoing harmonica and lightness of the song. This is well done. Reminds me of the game I used to play called Monster Truck madness. They had a song like this in one of the race courses. Awesome game, great song that would be good in a movie. - ngqibs from Millburn, New Jersey on 16Jan2009 not my type of music its not my type of music but it has a nice flow and chuggin along feel to it. - Riffstyler from Sydney, Nsw, Australia on 12Jan2009 NO WAY THIS IS NOT R AND B WHATSOEVER. THIS IS THE WORST SONG I EVER HEARD ON THIS SITE. GOOD LORD. - LongAwaited from Brooklyn, New York on 12Jan2009 Original This one has a nice up tempo, I live the harmonica, it sounds old school. The guitar paying is excellent and it very fast paced. The lyrics tell a great story and keep my ears glued to the speakers. The vocals sound very original and catchy, i'm def bobbin my head to this one! Great production, whoever worte this has great talent and the team who make it all happen did a great job! - halfadashrecords from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on 11Jan2009 SERIUS JONES NOT EVEN GOING TO CUT IT AS A FUNK OR R AND B SONG THIS IS LIKE BLUES OR TRAIN OR SOMETHING. - SeriusJones from Englewood, New Jersey on 11Jan2009 huh this is a train song in the r and b category. this is not even right. this is so off. - HarvardBlue from Boston, Massachusetts on 11Jan2009 contry is this a R&B song or a contry song ? but it's a ok contry song. - SaraAni from Norway on 7Jan2009 hey you, this song have a little bite of jonny cash. it is very funn song and your voice is cool. - norakristine from Seljord/Flisa, Norway on 7Jan2009 no not my type of music. this is country. its ok. but i wouldnt listen to it again. - KatrineTvedt from Bergen, Norway on 7Jan2009 to be honest. not for me this is way more country the rnb, if any. im not a fan of this country music, so don't value this review - njracht from Unspecified on 5Jan2009 train the train song has got to go. the song is not the answer at all and the sound isnt either. - DJKingAssassin from San Jose, California on 30Dec2008 yee hah this is wack as ever and the singer is nothing nice at all. this is not good one bit. - LadyLuckmp3 from Newark, New Jersey on 30Dec2008 WHAT THE FK. THIS IS NOT EVEN THE GENRE SO YOU GET A QUICK LITTLE ONE. THIS ONE IS NOT CUTTING IT. - roscoepcoldchain from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 30Dec2008 guitar period this sounds like a train is going to come through and that is not a godo thing on r and b. - iLordRaven from Miami, Florida on 29Dec2008 barnyard fun this one is not the best song i think based on a few things. this is like really really old. - icewatermp3 from Brooklyn, New York on 29Dec2008 Train a comin' always like train songs. I think one acoustic guitar rather than 2 panned would more effective. I do like when the guitar and voc do the melody together.. a little more of that would be good - Bassace1232674 from Valparaiso, Florida on 23Dec2008 yee haw hell yeah man, jam it. Dig that train beat and the harp just makes it. This is what real music should sound like. Way to go. This is the type of music I listen to. - HartbrkHarley from & Missrobynv., Illinois on 17Dec2008 Neat song Great harmonica, great guitar, great vocals. Nice use of breaks to keep it interesting. Its got a great feel to it. It crosses a lot of genre's to me.Bluegrass, country, blues, rockabilly Great recording also! - Hornet from Chugwater, Wyoming on 10Dec2008 No Tweaks Needed! Country Blues, neo rockabilly, As a blues obsessor I still love that John Cash to Dwight Yoakum type of folk take on the theme, especially when it's done well! - Jamblasters from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada on 4Dec2008 MMMM.... Nice beginning. Always love a harmonica. The singer has a very bluesy feel that I really like. The break in the song is nice. Really love the song. Can see great things from you. - funkshui07 from Woodinville, Washington on 3Dec2008 Nice Vibe Good arrangement. Solid sound. Pretty hard to fault in this genre, actually. Nicely done. It's always a challenge to sound original in this genre, but you are getting there. - fingerpicker from Redlands, Queensland, Australia on 29Nov2008 Not a bad track boys This is more a country bluegrass song. Feel is consistent. Nice rhythm section. Like the harmonica. Nice play. Vocalist sounds great for this style. Enjoyed the vocal/guitar combination in melody. Nice even production mix Not a bad track boys - Kezza from Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia on 25Nov2008 GREAT SONG JOHNNY CASH HAS RISEN FROM THE DEAD! THIS IS GREAT STUFF. I THINK THAT THIS SONG SHOULD BE AT A HIGHER LEVEL THATN HERE. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THIS IS A VERY FINE SONG THAT MAKES ME MOVE AND MAKES ME WANT TO GET UP OFF MY CHAIR AND START DANCING. GREAT SONG. - johncrawford101 from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on 24Nov2008 Hillbilly Bluez!! Sounds like Mark Knopfler Hillbilly Bluez, drummer sounds good, acoustic git is tight, vox need a bit of auto-tuner....overall very fun. - bowdoin55 from Middlebury, Connecticut on 22Nov2008 Old School Blues Country Harkening back to traditional fast country blues shuffles, this song hits all the high spots. The lyrics are engaging, as are the vocalists. Nice use of the harmonica--not overpowering, but definitely a good counterpoint in the mix. Production values are very professional. A catchy tune well wrought. - SnakeCharmers from Baytown, Texas on 22Nov2008 Cool Very cool Dylanesque song. Good Job using octave chords on your harp, well done. The song got my foot tapping and I would say that the production is really good as well. - InRetrospect from Watertown, Connecticut on 21Nov2008 Well Kiss My Grits If it isn't the spittin image of a Johnny Cash. Guitars are spot on and harmonica is smokin. Good beat and love the change ups. - Override from Castaic, California on 19Nov2008 The train's a-coming I love that harmonica tone. Very traditional, but I dig it. Johnny Cash-esque. Cool hooks in the chorus but I feel like another line should go after "from the cradle to the grave." - folkmachine from Black Mountain S, North Carolina on 17Nov2008 You nailed the country train feel I LOVE THIS BEAT, it always brings a smile to the audience even if they don't like country. - steveeg from New Zealand on 17Nov2008 Country Bluesoid Like the beat. Like the harp. Like the style. Like, far out, man. A definite toe tapper. Good tune. - bluesoid from Eugene, Oregon on 16Nov2008 nice shuffle get on the train and lay back n enjoy the ride. nice execution of rhythm section. I especially like the bass n drums. they roll the song along nicely. u can't help but ride along. guitar tracks are minimal serving only the rolling rhythm but that is all that's really needed here. I would have liked dobro or electric slide fills but with the harmonica doing all the fills it still works. vocal delivery is simple and understated. song message is easy to understand and production os tight. with such a likeable rhythm you did a good job not overdriving to many elements of the song. sounds like u stay reserved throughout to serve the rhythm and it ia a smart move. toe tappers like this never really get a lot of mainstream attention but it's nice to listen too and could easily fit on a multiartist cd and be nice warm n fuzzy snipet on the album. - Ungawa from Lenoir, North Carolina on 16Nov2008 nice work cowboys good old trad blues song, like the skittle-feel, cool breaks, and harmonica keeps it rolling. Not much to say except NICE WORK GUYS, nothing unique, but GOOD OL'BLUES! Good singing by the way... - acousticpeace from Lower High-Lands, Scotland, United Kingdom on 16Nov2008 country blues to me this is not blues vocal okay performance weak and, in my opinion so is the song--sorry! - ljimmyc from Champaign, Illinois on 13Nov2008 This reminds me of Muddy Waters and Johnny Cash.. It's really tight and clean .... The vocal tone is great as is the arrangement.......really nice mix all around and great playing....... Great job ! - gypsynomad from Southport, Maine on 12Nov2008 Close to perfect A sweet harmonica and a brisk rhythm create a very good inital impression. A perfect mix and production is obvious from the get go, except the vox, unfortunately. The male vox is very blues-ey/country-ey, though mixed a bit too hot. A compressor might help to prevent the meter from jumping so abruptly on the vox track. I like the shaker in the background, as it provides a nice addition to the rhythm. Great decicion with placing the banjos in the pan extremes. I think where this song could be improved is in the bass department, as it sounds a bit too dull, especially compared to the rest of the quite bright instruments. And, as mentioned, the vox sounds a bit too hot at times. Otherwise, a fine job by the band! - InspiredBM from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on 10Nov2008 good quality i like the energy of this song right away. makes me want to take a trip and crank up the music. maybe on a train! got a folky feel to it. good job! - steinberglove from Palm Beach, Florida on 6Nov2008 The whipped cream on top is the harmonica pla.. Is there an Americana category. That's what this sounds like to me. I really love the old-timey sound of this song. The lyrics are great. The vocalist is a blast from the way past. Very authentic. The whipped cream on top is the harmonica player. He really complements the vocalist during the vocal parts and plays a mean lead. - docschwop from Missoula, Montana on 5Nov2008 Southern I like this....took the dixie and put some stank on it....Played well, good vocals and nice arrangement...Full pints for you.Cheers. - CaleaBand from Kismet, New York on 5Nov2008 Sounds like a movie intro song This song has a very classic feel to it. I like the harmonica work. It has a very bluegrass feel to it that is well complimented by the blues elements of the song. This song would probably be well suited as a movie sound track during the initial credits. It has that very upbeat feel that a movie intro song should have. - davidstillson from Fort Myers, Florida on 4Nov2008 Hillbilly Bluez Bob Dylan singing Hillbilly Blues......I ahve NO IDEA what you're saying in the hook though mate????????Sorry!!! Cheers!!! - Tonythekid from Watertown, Connecticut on 3Nov2008 bluegrass-blues yeah bluegrass feeling on this track. love the tight feeling in this song. just a song i'd like to hear when i'm sitting drinking beer and talkin' with my friends! - assel_92 from Pargas, None, Finland on 2Nov2008 train, train not a bad tune, way too typical, done too many hundreds of times already. maybe try to define the hook in some original way to set the lyrics off - offaxisdude from Baton Rouge, Louisiana on 31Oct2008 Rail Jumper Some dylanesque vocals accompany a blues harp and an acoustic guitar and some shufflin drums. A cool tune. The rests work really well here. A spirited tune reminding me of riding the rails. The lyrical content is cool and the vocals are perfect for blues of thisnature. - robertantilla from Iron Mountain, Michigan on 29Oct2008 Has a great beat that really moves along. Makes you feel like your riding a train! I think the music is great and it is definitely blues however the lead singer doesn't really have a blues style voice in my opinion. I'm not criticizing his voice because He has a good voice , His voice just doesn't have the characteristics of the classic blues sound. Great song. - kwmcmillen from Sweet Home, Oregon on 28Oct2008 High quality country train blues Great country train riff with spot on rhythm guitar, drums and bass work. Lovely harp fills with lots of subtlety. Good vocals - tuneful and good technique. Lyrics are effective and suit the song well. Reminds me of The Tractors - which is a very good thing indeed! Good song, well played and recorded - I thoroughly enjoyed it. - NigelSpiers from Christchurch, New Zealand on 28Oct2008 Cool song Cool upbeat shuffle groove. I like the spacious and controlled call and response harp playing. Nice job! It's so typical for a harp player to overplay and you don't. The simple beat with the drums is great the vocals sound fine. My only complaint is the crisp DI sounding acoustic guitar. Other than that I like the vibe and feel of this song. Good old uptempo blues. Nice job. - skunkmanhattan from San Antonio, Texas on 27Oct2008 Rockabilly Train Rockabilly country blues train song - Nice Harp. Great tight playing and easygoing vocal. I thought the stops / breaks were very effective. Nice Pickin' Guys! - Good time fun stuff here - got me in a real good mood! - cornishmusic from Penzance, Cornwall, United Kingdom on 26Oct2008 Johnny Cash? This is the best so far. I like the sound of the production and the playing. Sounds like a band. - CliffordBabock from Battle Creek, Michigan on 26Oct2008 makin the train talk... this song has definitely got the train talking. almost a Johnny Cash type rhythm guitar style. I can hear the blues in this one (pentatonic root), but it has more of an early rock n roll/country vibe to it. very catchy tune though. props - apocafunk from Tha 'ville, Texas on 25Oct2008 |
