This is the result of three years in a studio with musicians and friends. The plans and tunes has shifted over time, so has the members of the band.
This CD wouldn’t exist without the enthusiasm and help from Lars Dahlqvist and the time we got to spend in his well equipped and fine studio. Without him I had never met the musicians and these tunes would still be in my ring-binder.
I wrote the songs, but I don’t play much on this CD. Some guitars and some percussion, I’m grateful for all the help I got making this CD. Mats Byström is the main man, whatever instrument he plays, he plays it better than anyone I know. Most of the great choirs are made by him too. Björn Sohlin is the wild an imaginative one with his fiddle and harmonica, without him half of the fun would be gone. He also did all the artwork for this booklet. Peter Jansson is another wild one and plays the sweet drums. Sven-Erik Nordin added some Hawaii to the mix with his acoustic lap Dobro. John Vigebo loves playing his stand-up-bass found in a dumpster and he does so on most of the tracks. Anders Sellin plays bass on the title track and Mats also plays the bass on a couple of tracks.
A special thanks goes to Brian Frank for adding handclaps and choirs to a couple of tunes and to Börje Svensson for an acoustic guitar solo. And Andrzej Poniatowski who helped me with the mixing/mastering process.
As for me, I love making songs and sing. The guitar is the tool I use to make my songs and I’m gradually getting better playing it. But the songs are my babies and I’m proud of every one of them. |
